2024 Annual General Meeting
At the Club's AGM, which took place in the Village Hall On Tuesday 2nd April, the Chairman’s Cup was awarded to Kath for her work as Club Secretary and undertaking Session Coach training.
The Junior Star trophy was awarded to James for his consistent attendance, attending additional coaching sessions and successful participation in the AGB Junior Badge Scheme.

On the 3rd of March 2024, at the Hertfordshire Vs Bedfordshire Intercounty Match, our compound archers Neil and David W. won the Carol Owen Compound Challenge Trophy.

Hertfordshire Archery Association’s Winter League 2023/24
At the end of February with one month to go, in the Portsmouth competition our Compound team and Longbow team are both in 1st place with our Recurves 4th in Division 2. In the Portsmouth compound competition best individual scores are Neil in 1st place and David Wh. in 3rd; in Longbow Steve W. 1st, Christopher B. 8th and Dave C. 10th.
In the Frostbite competition our Compound team are 1st; Longbows 4th and Recurves 6th in division 1. Best individual scores are Neil 1st and David Wh. 3rd in Compound; Steve W. 3rd and Dave C. 6th in Longbow. Well done and thank you to all archers putting in scores over the winter season.
County Indoor Shoot
Well done, Steve W., for coming 3rd in the longbow competition of the Hertfordshire Archery Association County and Indoor Championships on Sunday 11th February 2024.
A National Champion
Neil competed in the 2023 National Indoor Championships at StoneleighPark, Warwickshire, over 1st/2nd December and won the Men's Compound 50+ competition.

Christmas is here!
29 Club members attended the Christmas Party in the Village Hall on 2nd December, starting the seasonal festivities in fine style.
Hertfordshire Archery Association Summer League 2023
Our Compound and Longbow teams were in top position at the end of the Summer League. Well done and thank you to all Hinxworth Archers who entered scores over the season.

Spooky
Ghostly happenings on the Rec. on Sunday 29th October at the Club's Halloween Fun Shoot.
the Senior trophy was won by David.W. with Adrian in 2nd place and Colin in 3rd. The Junior trophy was won by Zoe with Annabel in 2nd place.
Hinxworth Archery Club Championships 2023
It was warm and sunny on the Rec for the championships on Sunday 8th October. Sixteen archers competed for medals by shooting either a Short Metric I or Short Metric III round. Gold medal winners were:

Club Championships...and more
Club Championships will take place on the morning of Sunday 8th October followed by a 'bring & share' lunch in the Village Hall.
Indoor shooting in the Barn at Edworth Farm will commence on Wednesday 18th October.
The Halloween Fun Shoot will be on Sunday 29th October.
The Christmas Party will be in the Village Hall on Saturday 2nd December.
County Tournament
On Sunday 23rd of July, Neil and Steve W.
competed at the Hertfordshire Archery
Association's Outdoor County and Open Shoot.
Neil came 1st in Compound and Steve 3rd in Longbow, shooting a York round. Well done both!
Neil in South America
On the 11th of June Neil travelled to Colombia to compete in the Medellin 2023 Hyundai Archery World Cup as part of the GB team.
Congratulations, Neil!
On the 16th April Neil won the Clophill WA 720 Tournament both single and double rounds in the Masters division. Creating a new British national record for both and a new European record for the single round he also equalled the European double round record.
Neil continues to hold his position with the British elite Compound Squad and is the highest ranked compound archer in Hertfordshire.
Winter Leagues 2022/23
In the Hertfordshire Archery Association’s Winter League 2022/23 in the Portsmouth competition our compound team were 1st, the longbow team 2nd, barebows finished in 6th place and recurves in 7th place. In the Portsmouth compound competition best individual scores were for compound Neil 1st place and David Wh. 5th; in longbow Steve W. 3rd and Derek B. 4th; Richard Fe. 9th in barebow and Rob 14th in recurve. In the Frostbite competition our compound team finished 2nd; longbows 1st, barebows 4th and recurves 1st in division 2. Best individual scores were Neil 1st and David Wh. 3rd in compound; Steve W. 2nd in longbow; Tony D. 5th in barebow and Rob 10th in recurve.
In the Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS) winter league Neil has the highest individual score in compound and took the gold medal. Our archers contributed scores towards Hertfordshire coming in 2nd place in barebow, compound and longbow and 3rd in recurve.
Congratulations Annabel
Well done Hinxworth junior archer Annabel for achieving her Gold Badge in the Archery GB Junior Badge Scheme in the under 12s category. The first Hinxworth junior to work her way though all five badges and be awarded a gold badge. We are very proud of her.
