Introduction to Archery

Beginner’s courses are undertaken throughout the spring and summer months and are run under the guidelines laid down by G.N.A.S./ArcheryGB, archery’s  governing body. Instruction is led by our team of fully experienced G.N.A.S. archery coaches.

An application form is below and details of the next beginners' course is available by contacting the Training Coordinator, Glenn, at Glenn.butterworth@ntlworld.com

Our courses run for a minimum of 4 consecutive sessions throughout the summer. Each session is of about 2 hours duration. Individual sessions are subject to mutual arrangement with one of the club coaches but must be held either on a Sunday morning 10.00 to 12.00 or Wednesday and/or Friday evenings 6.00 to 8.00pm in Summer.

Our beginner's course scheduled for 9th July 2022  is now full. Next Course Spring 2023

Upon completion of the course a certificate of competence to use a bow safely is issued. This would normally be required by archery clubs when applying for membership. It is recommended that only archery equipment supplied by the club be used by beginners for the duration of the course.
